NOTE: Before doing this troubleshooting procedure, find out if the vehicle was in a collision. If so, verify that all the required components were replaced with new components of the correct part number and were properly installed .
• Before doing this troubleshooting procedure, review SRS Precautions and Procedures , General Troubleshooting Information , and Battery Terminal Disconnection and Reconnection. - Refer to: Battery Terminal Disconnection and Reconnection (2016 2017 2018 2019 2020) .
• Before doing this troubleshooting procedure, check the condition of the Battery - Refer to: Battery Test (2016 2017 2018 2019 2020) .
• If DTC U3000-49 stored, troubleshoot DTC U3000-49 before doing this troubleshooting procedure.

DTC (SRS)

1. Problem verification

   -1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.

   - 2. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, then wait for 10 seconds.

   - 3. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

   B00C2-16 Internal failure of the front passenger's weight sensor (rear inner side)
   B00C2-96 Internal failure of the front passenger's weight sensor (rear inner side)
   B00C3-16 Internal failure of the front passenger's weight sensor (rear outer side)
   B00C3-96 Internal failure of the front passenger's weight sensor (rear outer side)

   Is DTC B00C0-16, B00C0-96, B00C1-16, B00C1-96, B00C2-16, B00C2-96, B00C3-16, or B00C3-96 indicated?

   YES 

   The failure is duplicated. Faulty front passenger's weight sensor. Replace the front passenger's weight sensors as an assembly - Refer to: Front Passenger's Weight Sensor Removal and Installation (2017 2018 2019 2020), .

   NO 

   Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Go to Troubleshooting Intermittent Failures. If another DTC is indicated, troubleshoot the DTC.
