DTC P0602

DTC P0602  : PCM Programming Error

NOTE: Before you troubleshoot, review the general troubleshooting information - Refer to: How to Troubleshoot the Fuel and Emissions Systems, or How to Troubleshoot the A/T System (2014 2015), or How to Troubleshoot the Brake Booster Pressure Monitoring System (2016 2017 2018 2019 2020), or How to Troubleshoot the Fuel and Emissions Systems(With Auto Idle Stop System) (2016) .
• This DTC is indicated when the PCM update procedure is not completed.
• Do not press the engine start/stop button while updating the PCM. If you do, the PCM can be damaged.

DTC (PGM-FI)

1. Problem verification (update)

   -1. Update the PCM.

   - 2. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS.

   DTC (PGM-FI)

   Is DTC P0602 indicated?

   YES 

   Replace the PCM - Refer to: PCM Removal and Installation (2014 2015), or PCM Removal and Installation (2016) .

   NO 

   Update is complete. If any other Pending or Confirmed DTCs are indicated, go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.
