DTC P15AB
DTC P15AB : Engine Mount Control Unit Power Source Circuit Low Voltage
NOTE:
- Before you troubleshoot, review the general troubleshooting information .
- If DTC P16C5 is stored at the same time as DTC P15AB, troubleshoot DTC P16C5 first, then recheck for DTC P15AB.

DTC (Engine Mount Control Unit)
- Problem verification
- 1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
- 2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
- 3. Start the engine, and let it idle 10 seconds.
- 4. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS.
DTC Description Confirmed DTC Pending DTC Freeze Frame P15AB Engine Mount Control Unit Power Source Circuit Low Voltage Is DTC P15AB indicated?
YES
Go to step 2.
NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the engine mount control unit, the front engine mount actuator, the rear engine mount actuator, and ground G301. If the freeze data/on-board snapshot of this DTC is recorded, try to reproduce the failure under the same conditions with the Freeze data/on-board snapshot.
- Shorted wire check (IG1 ECU AS line)
- 1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
- 2. Check the following fuse.
Fuse No. E20 (7.5 A) Location Passenger's under-dash fuse/relay box Is the fuse OK?
YES
Go to step 3.
NO
Repair a short in the IG1 ECU AS wire between the No. E20 (7.5 A) fuse and the engine mount control unit. Also replace the No. E20 (7.5 A) fuse.
- Connection check
- 1. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the engine mount control unit 16P connector.
Are the connections and the terminals OK?
YES
Go to step 4.
NO
Repair the connections or the terminals.
- Open wire check (IG1 ECU AS line)
- 1. Disconnect the following connector.
Engine mount control unit 16P connector - 2. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
- 3. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle ON mode Engine mount control unit 16P connector: disconnected Test circuit IG1 ECU AS Test point 1 Engine mount control unit 16P connector No. 9 (LT GRN) Test point 2 Body ground Is there battery voltage?
YES
Go to step 5.
NO
Repair an open in the IG1 ECU AS wire between the No. E20 (7.5 A) fuse and the engine mount control unit.
- Open wire check (PGND line)
- 1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
- 2. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode Engine mount control unit 16P connector: disconnected Test circuit PGND Test point 1 Engine mount control unit 16P connector No. 4 (BLK) Test point 2 Body ground Is there continuity?
YES
Replace the engine mount control unit .
NO
Repair an open in the PGND wire between the engine mount control unit and ground G301.
