- F-CAN A circuit resistance check
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
- 2. Jump the SCS line with the HDS.
- 3. Disconnect the following connector.
PCM connector A (51P) - 4. Measure the resistance between test points 1 and 2.

- VSA modulator-control unit 38P connector
- Steering angle sensor 4P connector
- ANC/active sound control unit 20P connector
- EPS control unit connector A (11P)
- Keyless access/TPMS control unit connector C (20P)

- Audio-navigation unit connector F (18P)
- Multipurpose camera unit 20P connector

- 2. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.

Replace the gauge control module .

Reconnect the gauge control module 32P connector with vehicle in OFF (LOCK) mode, then go to step 25.
- TCM check
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
- 2. Disconnect the following connector.
TCM 58P connector - 3. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, and read the HDS.
Does the HDS identify the vehicle?
YES
NO
Reconnect the TCM 58P connector with vehicle in OFF (LOCK) mode, then go to step 26.
- SBW shifter control module check
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
- 2. Disconnect the following connector.
SBW shifter control module 20P connector - 3. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, and read the HDS.
Does the HDS identify the vehicle?
YES
Replace the SBW shifter control module .
NO
Reconnect the SBW shifter control module 20P connector with vehicle in OFF (LOCK) mode, then go to step 27.
- VSA modulator-control unit check
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
- 2. Disconnect the following connector.

- SRS unit check
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
- 2. Do the 12 volt battery terminal disconnection procedure, and wait for at least 3 minutes.
- 3. Disconnect the following connector.
SRS unit connector A (39P) - 4. Do the 12 volt battery terminal reconnection procedure.
- 5. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, and read the HDS.

Replace the engine mount control unit .

- Substitute a known-good keyless access/TPMS control unit , then recheck. If the HDS identifies the vehicle and the keyless access/TPMS control unit was substituted, replace the original keyless access/TPMS control unit .
- Update the PCM if it does not have the latest software, or substitute a known-good PCM - Refer to: PCM Removal and Installation (2016), , then recheck. If the HDS identifies the vehicle and the PCM was updated, troubleshooting is complete. If the HDS identifies the vehicle and the PCM was substituted, replace the original PCM - Refer to: PCM Removal and Installation (2016) .
