DTC B1157: Gauge Control Module Lost Communication with MICU (MICU Message); DTC B1159: Gauge Control Module Lost Communication with MICU (DOORSW Message); DTC B1180: Gauge Control Module Lost Communication with MICU (AUTOLT Message)
NOTE:
If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A
TROUBLESHOOTING - B-CAN SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS TEST MODE A
).
- Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), and then back to ON (II).
- Wait for at least 6 seconds.
- Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC B1157, B1159, and/or B1180 indicated?
YES -Go to step 5.
NO -Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections between the gauge control module and the MICU.
- Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Are DTCs B1055, B1056, B1057, B1255, B1355, B1806, B1810, B1811, B1955, B2155, B2156, and/or B2161 also indicated?
YES -Do the MICU input test MICU INPUT TEST ).
NO -Do the gauge control module input test
