Hood Insulator / Pad: Service and Repair

Hood Insulator Replacement

NOTE:

- Have an assistant help you when removing and installing the hood insulator.
- Take care not to scratch the hood.

1. Remove the hood support strut Service and Repair.

2. While an assistant supports the hood, detach the clips with a clip remover. Remove the hood insulator (A) by pulling it away from the hooks (B).





3. Install the insulator in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
- Push the clips and the hooks into place securely.
