Trunk / Liftgate Handle: Testing and Inspection

Trunk Lid Outer Handle Switch Test/Replacement

1. Open the trunk lid, and remove the trunk lid trim. Interior Trim Removal/Installation - Trunk Lid

2. Disconnect the 3P connector (A) from the trunk lid outer handle switch (B).

3. Check for continuity between terminals No. 2 and No. 3.
- With the handle pulled, there should be continuity.

- With the handle released, there should be no continuity.

4. If the continuity is not as specified, remove the two bolts and replace the switch.
