Removal and Replacement
Fuel Tank Replacement1. Relieve the fuel pressure.
2. Drain the fuel tank, then disconnect the fuel tank unit 4P connector and the quick-connect fittings from the fuel tank unit.
3. Lift the vehicle, and support it with jackstands.
4. Remove the exhaust pipe.
5. Remove the propeller shaft, and support it with jackstands.
6. Remove the fuel tank guard (A) and fuel tank protector (B).
7. Loosen the clamp (C), and disconnect the tube (D). Slide back the clamps, then twist the hoses as you pull to avoid damaging them.
8. Open the clamps (E).
9. Disconnect the hoses (F).
10. Place a jack or other support under the fuel tank (G).
11. Remove the strap bolts and the straps (H).
12. Remove the fuel tank.
13. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
