Seat Belt Buckle
- Make sure you have the anti-theft codes for the audio system and the navigation system (if equipped), then write down the audio presets.
- Disconnect the negative cable from the battery, and wait at least 3 minutes before beginning work.
- Remove the front seat (see FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Passenger's manual seat: Remove the center cover (see FRONT SEAT DISASSEMBLY/REASSEMBLY - PASSENGER'S MANUAL ).
- Disconnect or detach the seat belt switch connector (A) and harness clip (B).NOTE: The passenger's 4-way power seat is similar to the driver's 8-way power seat.

Driver's 8-way power seat
- Remove the center anchor bolt (A), and detach the harness clip (B), then remove the seat belt buckle (C).NOTE: The passenger's 4-way power seat is similar to the driver's 8-way power seat.

Driver's 8-way power seat
- Pull the seat belt switch harness (D) out through the space between the seat cushion and the seat linkage, or the hole in the seat track.
- Install the buckle in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- Apply medium strength type liquid thread lock to the center anchor bolt before reinstallation.
- Assemble the washers on the center anchor bolt as shown.
- Reconnect the negative cable to the battery.
- Enter the anti-theft codes for the audio system and the navigation system (if equipped), then enter the audio presets.
- Set the clock (on vehicles without navigation).
Center anchor bolt installation
- Move the seat all the way forward and backward, and confirm that the seat buckle harness is routed properly.
