Side Airbag Replacement: Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery, then wait for 3 minutes before starting work.
  2. Disconnect the side airbag harness 2P connectors (A).

  3. Remove the seat assembly (see FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ) and seat-back cover (see FRONT SEAT COVER REPLACEMENT ).
    NOTE: If you are replacing a deployed airbag, replace the reinforcing cloth rear hooks (A).

  4. Remove the mounting nut (B) and the side airbag (C).
