Removal & Installation

Remove master cylinder. See MASTER CYLINDER  . Disconnect vacuum hose from brake booster. See Fig 2 . Remove fuel feed line bracket. Remove starter cable clamps and windshield wiper intermittent relay bracket. Remove lock pin and joint (clevis) pin. See Fig 1 . Remove four booster mounting nuts. Pull brake booster forward, then turn it to the right until clevis is clear of bulkhead at cutout. See Fig 3 . To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten components to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Bleed brake system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM  .
