Removal & Installation
- Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable seat belt tensioners. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM . Disconnect tension reducer connector. See Fig 1. Remove shoulder harness anchor bolts. Remove seat belt tensioner mounting bolts and tensioners.
- To install, position new seat belt tensioners. Tighten upper mounting bolts to 87 INCH lbs. (9.8 N.m). Tighten lower mounting bolts to 24 ft. lbs. (32 N.m). Install shoulder harness anchor bolts and tighten to 24 ft. lbs. (32 N.m). Connect tension reducer connector. Activate air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM . Check system for proper operation. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK .
