Removal & Installation

  1. Set parking brake and block both front wheels. Raise and support vehicle. Shift into "N" position. Remove harness connector from bracket and disconnect harness connector. Remove wiring harness clamp from transmission case. Remove 2 bolts from A/T gear position switch cover and bolt from A/T gear position switch. Remove A/T gear position switch assembly from transmission cover.
  2. To install, set A/T gear position switch in "N" position. Reverse removal procedure. Tighten all bolts to 104 INCH lbs. (12 N.m). Adjust A/T gear position switch. See A/T GEAR POSITION SWITCH  under ADJUSTMENTS.
