Outside Air Temperature Indicator: Calibrating

NOTE: Outside air temperature indicator can be recalibrated to 3 degrees greater or 3 degress less than actual outside temperature.
  1. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Select outside air temperature mode. Depress and hold RESET button for 10 seconds. While holding RESET button, the display will scroll through temperature settings from 3 degrees greater to 3 degrees less. When desired temperature value appears on display, release RESET button and recalibrated outside air temperature will be displayed.
  2. To recalibrate display to actual temperature, remove sensor from vehicle. With sensor removed from vehicle but still connected to harness, submerge sensor and a thermometer in a container of ice water. Repeat step  1 of this test. Compare thermometer reading to indicator display and set accordingly.
