Removal & Installation (Integra)

  1. TDC/CKP/CYP sensors are an integral component of distributor. Distributor housing must be replaced if TDC, CKP and/or CYP sensors are faulty. See DISTRIBUTOR . CKF sensor is located behind drive belt. Remove wheel well splash shield. Remove accessory drive belts. Remove alternator belt.
  2. Remove valve cover. Remove crankshaft pulley. Remove timing belt middle and lower covers. DO NOT  use middle and lower covers to store removed items. Remove CKF sensor connector. To install reverse removal procedure. Clean middle cover and lower cover. See article in ENGINES section for timing belt installation procedure.
    NOTE: On 2.3CL models, CYP sensor is an integral component of distributor. Distributor housing must be replaced if CYP sensor is faulty. See DISTRIBUTOR .
