Front Disc Brake Pads: Removal
- Raise and support front of vehicle. Remove front wheels. Remove caliper bolts, and move caliper aside.
- Remove pads, pad shims, and pad retainers. Measure thickness of brake lining. Minimum brake pad thickness is 0.06" (1.60 mm). Remove caliper bracket and bracket bolts. Thoroughly clean caliper and bracket. Check for cracks or grooves.
NOTE:
Replace brake pads in axle sets. DO NOT allow grease, brake fluid, or other contaminants to contact lining surface. Inspect, clean, and resurface rotor as necessary.
