Testing (3.5RL)
If indicator displays 888.8 for more than 2 seconds after selecting outside air temperature display mode, check for open in Brown wire between instrument cluster connector terminal A19 and outside air temperature sensor. If circuit is okay, test sensor. See OUTSIDE AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR TEST . If sensor tests okay, replace instrument cluster.
NOTE:
Outside air temperature indicator can be recalibrated to 3° greater or 3° less than actual outside temperature.
