Removal (2.5TL & 3.2TL)
- Deactivate air bag system. See DISABLING SYSTEM under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM. Position front wheels straight-ahead. Remove maintenance lids from lower cover. See Figure. Remove and discard Torx bolts. Remove air bag assembly.
- Mark steering wheel and shaft for installation reference. Note position of all connectors, and unplug horn switch connector and cruise control switches connector. Remove steering wheel bolt. Using suitable puller, remove steering wheel.
