Turn ignition off. Remove rear seat. Remove fuel pump access cover. Disconnect 3-pin connector from fuel gauge sending unit. Connect positive voltmeter lead to Yellow/White wire and negative voltmeter lead to Black/White wire. Turn ignition switch to ON position and measure voltage. If voltage is 5-8 volts, go to next step. If voltage is not 5-8 volts, check for poor ground connection or open in Blue/White, Yellow/White, or Black/White wires. See WIRING DIAGRAMS.
CAUTION:
Failure to turn ignition off before needle reaches "F" mark may damage fuel gauge.
