Front Disc Brake Caliper: Reassembly

  1. Clean piston and caliper bore with clean brake fluid. Inspect for wear or damage. Apply silicone grease to new piston seal and piston boot. Install piston seal and piston boot into cylinder groove.
  2. Lubricate caliper cylinder and piston with clean brake fluid. Install piston into cylinder with dished end facing inward. To complete reassembly, reverse disassembly procedure. Replace washers when installing brakeline. Bleed system after installation. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM .
