Removal (Front & Rear)

  1. Raise and support vehicle. Remove wheels. Remove caliper assembly, and wire aside. See FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER  or REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER. Measure rotor runout before removal. Remove rotor retaining screws.
  2. Install two 8 x 12 mm bolts into existing holes. To prevent warpage, turn bolts alternately 2 turns at a time until rotor can be removed from hub. Clean rust from rotor. Inspect rotor surfaces for cracks or grooves. Resurface or replace rotor as necessary.
