Removal & Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1998 Honda Odyssey, 1998 Honda Accord, and 1998 Acura 2.3CL. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Disconnect harness connector at mainshaft speed sensor. Mainshaft speed sensor is located on side of transaxle. See Figure .
  2. Remove clamp for the wiring harness. Remove bolt, mainshaft speed sensor and "O" ring. To install, reverse removal procedure using a NEW "O" ring. Install and tighten bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
