Self-Diagnosis Indicator

If a fault is present in transaxle electronic control system and a DTC is stored, PCM will deliver an output signal (Flash Code) to illuminate and flash "D4" light. The "D4" light is located on A/T gear position indicator on instrument panel. See Figure . Flash Code can be retrieved to identify problem area by installing a jumper wire or service tool between service check connector terminals. A DTC (4-digit) "P" code can be retrieved by using a scan tool to identify problem area. Flash Codes will be displayed by flashing "D4" light.
