Fuel Gauge Sending Unit Test
- Turn ignition off. Remove trunk floor panel and fuel tank access cover. Disconnect fuel gauge sending unit 3-pin connector. Inspect connector for damage, looseness or corrosion. If problem is found, repair as necessary. If connector is okay, go to next step.
- Remove fuel gauge sending unit. Using an ohmmeter, measure resistance between fuel gauge sending unit terminals No. 1 (Black wire) and No. 2 (Yellow/Blue wire). See FUEL GAUGE SENDING UNIT RESISTANCE table. If resistance is not as specified, replace fuel gauge sending unit.
