DTC P0335, P0336, P1336, P1337, P1381, P1382, P1386 & P1387 - CKP/CYP Sensors
NOTE:
DTC P0335 indicates PCM is not receiving a signal from CKP 1 sensor. DTC P0336 indicates an intermittent interruption in CKP 1 signal. DTC P1337 indicates PCM is not receiving a signal from CKP 2 sensor. DTC P1336 indicates an intermittent interruption in CKP 2 signal. DTC P1381 indicates an intermittent interruption in CYP 1 sensor signal. DTC P1382 indicates PCM is not receiving a signal from CYP 1 sensor. DTC P1386 indicates an intermittent interruption in CYP 2 sensor signal. DTC P1387 indicates PCM is not receiving a signal from CYP 2 sensor.

- Connect and operate scan tester, following manufacturer's instructions. Clear codes from PCM memory. Start and idle engine. Retrieve codes. If any DTCs listed above reappear, go to next step. If listed DTCs do not reappear, problem is intermittent. Inspect for loose sensor, poor connections, or loose wires associated with CKP, TDC and CYP sensors. Repair as necessary.
- Unplug CKP/CYP sensor harness connector. Measure resistance between sensor harness terminals as specified. See CKP/CYP SENSOR TESTING

. If all resistance measurement are 650-850 ohms, go to next step. If any resistance measurement is not 650-850 ohms, replace CKP/CYP sensor assembly.CKP/CYP SENSOR TESTING
Sensor Identification Measure Between Sensor Terminals No. CKP 1 1 & 2 CKP 2 3 & 4 CYP 1 7 & 8 CYP 2 5 & 6 - Check continuity between ground and all terminals at CKP/CYP sensor harness connector (sensor side). If continuity exists, replace CKP/CYP sensor. If continuity does not exist, go to next step.
- Reconnect CKP/CYP sensor. Disconnect PCM connectors "B" and "D". Measure resistance between PCM connector terminals for sensor in question. See CIRCUIT IDENTIFICATION
. If resistance is 650-850 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is not 650-850 ohms, repair open sensor circuit.NOTE: When substituting a known-good PCM, immobilizer code must be rewritten using Honda PGM tester, or engine will not start.
- Check for continuity between ground and terminals No. 5, 6, 7, and 8 at PCM connector "B". If continuity exists, repair short to ground in circuit in question. See CIRCUIT IDENTIFICATION . If continuity does not exist, temporarily substitute known-good PCM and recheck for DTC.
