Parking Brake
NOTE:
After rear brake caliper servicing, loosen parking brake adjusting nut, start engine and depress brake pedal several times to set self-adjusting brakes before adjusting brake pedal.
- Remove console mat and four screws. Remove console box. See Fig 1 . Block front wheels. Raise and support rear wheels off the ground. Remove rear wheels. Ensure lever of rear brake caliper contacts brake caliper pin. See Fig 2 .
- Pull parking brake lever up one notch. Tighten adjusting nut until rear wheels drag slightly when turned. Release parking lever and ensure rear wheels do not drag when turned. Readjust if necessary.
- With equalizer adjusting nut properly adjusted, rear brakes should be fully applied when parking brake lever is pulled up 10 to 14 clicks. Install rear wheels. Install console rear cover.
