TCS Indicator

The traction control system is disabled if the brake warning circuit is activated or the TCS switch is depressed. The TCS OFF indicator lights to show that the system is off. The TCS ON indicator light goes on when the system is actively reducing the throttle. The TCS switch cannot turn the system off when this indicator is lit. All of the indicators are controlled by the control unit, which grounds each indicator to turn it on. The system may be disabled by the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor (engine cold or overheating), or the A/T gear position switch (park or neutral). The accelerator pedal sensor and the throttle position (TP) sensor provide the accelerator position and the actual throttle plate position information to the control unit.
