Removal & Installation (Legend & Vigor)
- Using a syringe, empty master cylinder reservoir. Remove 4-way joint mounting bolt. See Fig 1
. Disconnect check valve and throttle cable from 4-way joint bracket. Remove master cylinder mounting nuts, washers and 4-way joint bracket. Remove master cylinder from brake booster.
- Remove throttle cable clamp bolt. Disconnect vacuum tube from brake booster. Remove clevis pin from booster push rod-to-brake pedal. Remove brake booster mounting nuts and brake booster. To install, reverse removal procedure after verifying push rod clearance and length. After installation, check and adjust pedal height and fill and bleed brake system.
