Generator Signal Circuit

DESCRIPTION

When the engine is started, the generator rotates and a pulsed voltage signal is generated. This signal is used by the A/C amplifier. The generated voltage signals sent from the generator are used for controlling the number of the heater elements to be heated.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (A/C AMPLIFIER - GENERATOR)

(a) Disconnect the connector from the A/C amplifier.

(b) Disconnect the connector from the generator.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. INSPECT GENERATOR

(a) Inspect the generator.

(1) for 2AZ-FE:

Inspect the generator Component Tests and General Diagnostics for On-Vehicle Inspection, Testing and Inspection for Inspection).

(2) for 2ZR-FE:

Inspect the generator Component Tests and General Diagnostics for On-Vehicle Inspection, Testing and Inspection for Inspection).

Result:





C -- REPLACE GENERATOR (for 2ZR-FE) Removal

B -- REPLACE GENERATOR (for 2AZ-FE) Removal

A -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
