Removal

DOOR / HATCH: HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Removal

2. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL Removal

3. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE

(a) Remove the radiator grille Removal.

4. REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System) Removal

5. REMOVE HOOD LOCK RELEASE LEVER PROTECTOR Removal

6. REMOVE LOW PITCHED HORN ASSEMBLY Removal

7. REMOVE HIGH PITCHED HORN ASSEMBLY Removal

8. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER

(a) Remove the 2 screws.





(b) Detach the claw and remove the hood lock control cable cover.

9. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 3 bolts.





(b) Disconnect the connector.





(c) Disconnect the hood lock control cable and remove the hood lock assembly.

10. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Detach the clamp as shown in the illustration.

(b) Detach the 3 claws.





(c) Remove the hood lock control cable assembly and hood lock control lever sub-assembly.





11. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the clamps shown in the illustration.

HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(b) Pull the hood lock control cable assembly from the engine compartment and remove it.
