DESCRIPTION

* When the driving support ECU detects a lane departure alert main switch signal, it sends the signal to the combination meter assembly via CAN communication. Then the LDA indicator light turns on.

* The LDA indicator light circuit uses CAN communication. If there is a malfunction in this circuit, check for DTCs in the CAN communication system before troubleshooting this circuit.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (LDA INDICATOR LIGHT)

(a) Select the item below in the Active Test, and then check that the LDA indicator light illuminates Scan Tool Testing and Procedures.

Combination Meter





OK:

LDA indicator light turns on/off.

NG -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (LDA INDICATOR LIGHT)

(a) Use the Data List to check if the LDA indicator light is functioning properly Scan Tool Testing and Procedures.

OK:

LDA indicator light turns on, off or is blinking.

NG -- REPLACE DRIVING SUPPORT ECU Removal

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
