SEAT BELT: FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL

HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
NOTICE:
- w/ Navigation System:
After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE Removal

3. REMOVE REAR STEP COVER Removal

4. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE Removal

5. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH COVER Removal

6. REMOVE CENTER LOWER PILLAR GARNISH
HINT:
- When removing the center pillar garnish cover, connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal and operate the power seat switch to move the front seat and seatback to the foremost upright position.
- After moving the front seat, disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
NOTICE:

(a) for LH Side:
(1) Remove the bolt and seat belt anchor.






(b) for RH Side:
(1) Disconnect the connector.
(2) Remove the bolt and seat belt anchor.






(c) Detach the 2 claws and 7 clips, and remove the center lower pillar garnish.
7. REMOVE REAR ASSIST GRIP ASSEMBLY Removal

8. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH Removal

9. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the nut and shoulder anchor.






(b) Disconnect the pretensioner connector labeled A as shown in the illustration.
(c) Disconnect the tension reducer connector labeled B.
(d) w/ Pre-Collision System:
Disconnect the pre-collision connector labeled C.






(e) Remove the bolt and seat belt.






10. REMOVE FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR PLATE SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 2 bolts and anchor plate.
