Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct from the air cleaner. Refer to Air Cleaner Resonator Outlet Duct Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (1) from the mass airflow (MAF)/intake air temperature (IAT) sensor.




3. Loosen the integral air cleaner housing bolts (2).
4. Remove the air cleaner housing (1) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the air cleaner housing (1) to the vehicle.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Tighten the integral air cleaner housing bolts (2) to 15 Nm (11 lb ft).




3. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (1) to the MAF/IAT sensor.
4. Install the air cleaner outlet duct to the air cleaner. Refer to Air Cleaner Resonator Outlet Duct Replacement (Service and Repair).
