DTC 84: VSA Sensor Neutral Position

NOTE: If DTC 84 is stored, the VSA activation indicator does not go off until doing the VSA sensor neutral position memorization. Programming and Relearning

1. Do the VSA sensor neutral position memorization. Programming and Relearning
2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
3. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), then turn it to ON (II) again.
4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC 84 indicated?

YES - Check for loose terminals in the VSA modulator-control unit 47P connector. If necessary, substitute a known-good VSA modulator-control unit.

NO - The system is OK at this time.
