Antenna Cable: Service and Repair

Antenna Cable

NOTE: This procedure applies to the Global Positioning System (GPS) antenna cables. For the AM/FM antenna cable, refer to Antenna - AM/FM Antenna - AM/FM.

NOTE: The upper and lower GPS (Global Positioning System) antenna cables are serviceable separately.









Removal and Installation

Upper cable

1. Remove the 3 screws and the RH sun visor.

2. Remove the RH A-pillar trim panel.

3. NOTE: Lower the headliner enough to gain access to the connection.

Disconnect the Global Positioning System (GPS) antenna upper cable from the GPS (Global Positioning System) antenna.


Lower cable

4. Remove the Audio Front Control Module (ACM). For additional information, refer to Audio Control Module (ACM) Audio Control Module (ACM).

5. Remove the glove compartment.

6. Disconnect the GPS (Global Positioning System) antenna upper cable from the GPS (Global Positioning System) antenna lower cable.





7. Disengage the pushpins and remove the GPS (Global Positioning System) antenna cable (upper or lower).

8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
