Diagnostic Overview

A Hill Descent Control Message Is Never or Always On

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

REFER to Hill Descent Control Message Display Message Center.

Pinpoint Test

1. CHECK THE MESSAGE CENTER OPERATION

1. Close all doors, hood and liftgate.

2. Ignition ON.

3. Open the driver door while monitoring the message center displays.

Does the message center display DRIVER DOOR AJAR?






2. RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) FROM THE IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) SELF-TEST

1. Using a scan tool, perform the IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) self-test.

Is DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) U0121:00 recorded?






3. RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) FROM THE ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System) MODULE SELF-TEST

1. Using a scan tool, perform the ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System) module self-test.

Are any DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) recorded?
