Pinpoint Test X: DTC U0155

Normal Operation

The Smart Junction Box (SJB) sets DTC U0155 if data messages received from the Instrument Cluster (IC) over the High Speed Controller Area Network (HS-CAN) are missing. For a complete list of all network messages, refer to Information Bus.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:

- Communication network
- IC



PINPOINT TEST X: DTC U0155

-------------------------------------------------
X1 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE SJB SELF-TEST


- Check for recorded SJB DTCs from the self-test.
- Is DTC B1318 present?

Yes
REFER to Charging System.

No
GO to X2.

X2 RECHECK THE SJB DTCs


- Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: SJB Self-Test.
- Clear the DTCs and repeat the SJB self-test.
- Is DTC U0155 still present?

Yes
GO to X3.

No
The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to an intermittent communication drop off from high network traffic.

X3 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE PCM SELF-TEST


- Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: PCM Self-Test.
- Check for recorded PCM DTCs from the self-test.
- Is DTC U0155 recorded?

Yes
REFER to Information Bus to diagnose no communication with the IC.

No
GO to X4.

X4 CHECK THE NETWORK OPERATION


- Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: Network Test.
- Carry out the network test.
- Does the IC pass the network test?

Yes
INSTALL a new IC. TEST the system for normal operation.

No
REFER to Information Bus to diagnose no communication with the IC.
