Power Door Lock Switch: Testing and Inspection





DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING - LOCK SWITCH

1. Remove the power switch module and bezel unit from the front door trim panel. Power Lock Switch - Removal.
2. Disconnect the door wire harness connector from the power switch module.
3. Using an ohmmeter, test the resistance between the terminals of the front door power lock or power window switch as shown in the Power Lock or Power Window Switch Tests table.

NOTE: The switches in the driver front door switch module not listed in the Switch Test Tables provide inputs to the Driver Door Module (DDM) over a Local Interface Network (LIN) data bus and cannot be resistance tested. The use of a diagnostic scan tool and the appropriate diagnostic information is required for further testing of those switches.






4. If a switch fails any of the tests, replace the ineffective front door power switch module and bezel unit as required.
