Starter - Installation

1. Position the starter inside the transmission.
2. Install the starter mounting bolts (1) to the starter (2). Tighten the bolts to 55 Nm (40 ft. lbs.).





3. Connect the starter solenoid electrical connector (1) to starter solenoid terminal.
4. Install the battery cable and nut to the solenoid stud (2). Tighten the nut to 11 Nm (97 in. lbs.).

5. Install the starter solenoid heat shield.




6. Install the steering gear lower intermediate shaft (1). Intermediate Shaft - Installation.
7. Remove the steering wheel holder.
8. Connect the negative battery cable.
