Water Pump - Installation

2.0/2.4L ENGINE










1. Position the water pump assembly (3) into the water pump housing (4).
2. Install the mounting bolts (2). Tighten the bolts to 24 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
3. Install the water pump pulley (1). Tighten the bolts to 9 Nm (80 in lbs.).
4. Install the drive belt splash shield.
5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Install the accessory drive belt Serpentine Accessory Drive Belt - Installation.
7. Connect the negative battery terminal.
8. Evacuate air and refill cooling system. Water Pump - Coolant Air Evacuation
9. Check cooling system for leaks.Service and Repair
