Heated/Cooled Cupholder Switch - Description

Some vehicles are equipped with a heated/cooled cupholder that is operated through a switch (1) located in the center console. The heated/cooled cupholder switch contains two push-buttons. One pushbutton is for heat mode (2) and the other is for cool mode (3). When either cupholder button is pressed with the ignition switch in RUN, electrical current flow within that switch is reversed. The change in current flow direction signals the heated/cooled cupholder to operate in either the heat or cool mode, or to turn either function back off.
