Steering Column Seal Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Disconnect the steering shaft coupling from the upper intermediate steering shaft. Refer to Steering Shaft Coupling Replacement Steering Shaft Coupling Replacement.

2. Remove the 3 steering column seal nuts (2).

3. Remove the steering column seal (1) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the steering column seal (1) to the vehicle.

Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

2. Install the 3 steering column seal nuts (2) and tighten to 3 Nm (27 lb in).

3. Connect the steering shaft coupling to the upper intermediate steering shaft. Refer to Steering Shaft Coupling Replacement Steering Shaft Coupling Replacement.
