Compressed Natural Gas Tank Cover Replacement - Midship Tank

Removal Procedure

1. Rase and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.





2. Remove the tank shield bolts only, while an assistant holds the shield in place.

3. Lower the shield from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

1. Position the shield around the tank frame.





Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

2. While an assistant holds the shield in place, loosely install the shield retaining bolts.

3. Tighten the shield retaining bolts to 20 Nm (14 lb ft)

4. Lower the vehicle.
