3. Engine Flywheel Removal

Engine Flywheel Removal (7.0L LS7)





Important:
Note the position and direction of the engine flywheel before removal. The flywheel does not use a locating pin for alignment. Mark or scribe the end of the crankshaft and the flywheel before component removal. Refer to Engine Balancing Procedures.


1. Mark or scribe the end of the crankshaft and the flywheel.





2. Remove the flywheel bolts (133).

3. Remove the flywheel (134).

4. Remove the flywheel washer (132).





5. Note the location of the flywheel balance weights (142), if applicable.
