62. Supercharger Cleaning and Inspection




Supercharger Cleaning and Inspection

Charge Air Cooler Cover Cleaning and Inspection





Inspect the cover for the following:

* Damaged seal surfaces (1)

* Leaking, restricted, or damaged charge air coolers (2, 3)





Inspect the water manifold for the following:

* Damaged seal surfaces (1)

* Leaking air bleeds (2)

* Leaking coolant fill adapter (3)

* Damaged coolant hose fitting sealing surfaces (4)

Supercharger Cleaning and Inspection





1. Inspect the supercharger for the following:

* Damaged seal surfaces (1)

* Worn or damaged belt pulley grooves (2)

2. Rotate the pulley of the supercharger by hand. The pulley and rotors should rotate freely with no binding.

3. Operate the boost bypass valve by hand. The bypass valve should operate within the full range of motion with no sticking or binding.
