Theft Deterrent Alarm Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the right rear compartment trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement (Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement).
2. Remove the nuts securing the theft deterrent alarm (1) to the vehicle body.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector (3) from the alarm.
4. Remove the alarm from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Reconnect the electrical connector (3) to the alarm.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the alarm onto the vehicle.

Tighten the nuts to 9 Nm (80 lb in).

3. Install the rear compartment trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement (Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement).
