Rear Driveshaft Removal (SH-AWD)




Rear Driveshaft Removal

Special Tools Required

- Driveshaft Remover 07AAD-S3VA000

NOTE: Be careful not to damage the brake hose, sensor, and harness.

1. Raise and support the vehicle Service and Repair.

2. Remove the rear wheels.

3. Pry up the stake (A) on the spindle nut (B), then remove the nut.






4. Remove lower arm A.






5. Remove the flange bolt (A) and separate the knuckle from lower arm B.






6. Loosen the rear driveshaft outboard joint from the rear hub using a soft face hammer.






7. Pull the knuckle (A) outward, then separate the rear driveshaft outboard joint (B).

NOTE: When removing the outboard joint, the knuckle is supported. Make sure not to over extend the brake hose.






8. Use a hammer to wedge the driveshaft remover between the inboard joint (A) and the differential (B).






9. Remove the rear driveshaft (A), then remove the set ring (B).
